Network Security

Cybersecurity involves protecting computers, servers, mobile devices, electronic systems, networks, and data from malicious attacks.

Network Security

Project Overview

Malware includes various threats such as ransomware, botnet software, remote access Trojans (RATs), rootkits, bootkits, spyware, Trojans, viruses, and worms.

Backdoors, which allow remote access.

Formjacking, which inserts malicious code into online forms.

Cryptojacking, which installs illicit cryptocurrency mining software.

Solution Delivered

Critical infrastructure organizations are often more susceptible to attacks due to their reliance on older software in SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) systems. Network security addresses vulnerabilities in operating systems and network architecture, including servers, hosts, firewalls, wireless access points, and network protocols.

Challenge Points

  • Network security involves protecting a computer network from intruders, including both targeted attacks and opportunistic malware.
  • Application security aims to protect software and devices from threats. A compromised application can jeopardize the data it is meant to safeguard. Effective security starts during the design phase, well before the program or device is deployed.
  • Information security safeguards the integrity and privacy of data, both when it is stored and during transmission.
  • Operational security involves the procedures and decisions for managing and protecting data assets.
